Because of the nature of handmade, vintage, and textile items, all sales are considered final unless otherwise stated below.
1. All Sales Are Final
All items sold through Ruth Christine & Co. are final sale.
We do not accept returns or issue refunds for:

Change of mind

Color, texture, or pattern preference

Fit or scale expectations

Minor imperfections inherent to handmade or vintage goods
By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept the unique nature of these items.
2. Handmade & Textile Variations
Our products are handcrafted and/or made from vintage or antique textiles. As a result:

Variations in color, weave, texture, and pattern placement are normal

Slight irregularities are part of the character and authenticity of the item

No two pieces are exactly alike
These variations are not considered defects and do not qualify for a return or refund.
3. Vintage Item Disclosure
Vintage items may show signs of age, wear, or prior use, including but not limited to:

Light fading

Small marks or stitching repairs

Fabric thinning consistent with age
We make every effort to disclose notable condition details in product descriptions. Purchasing a vintage item signifies acceptance of its condition and history.
4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items
We will address issues if an item arrives:

Damaged in transit

Defective beyond normal handmade or vintage characteristics

Incorrectly fulfilled
To be eligible:

You must contact us within 7 days of delivery

Provide your order number

Include clear photographs of the issue and packaging
If approved, we will offer:

A replacement (if available), or

A refund to the original payment method, at our discretion
5. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are non-returnable and non-refundable, except where required by law:

6. Shipping Costs

Original shipping costs are non-refundable

Return shipping (if approved) is the responsibility of the customer unless the error was ours
7. Lost or Stolen Packages
Once a package is marked delivered by the shipping carrier, we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Please ensure a secure delivery location. We are happy to assist with carrier claims but cannot guarantee replacements or refunds in these cases.
8. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days.
Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution.
9. Legal Compliance
This policy complies with applicable U.S. consumer protection laws. Where state law provides additional rights, those rights will apply.
